BOS 3 @ CLE 5

Rookie J.R. House continues decent run since being called up, gets win. Peavy continues descent. Bourn a catalyst lately. Sox rookie Alex Hassan with a Golden Sombrero in his second career MLB game.

PHI 0 @ WSH 7

Jordan Zimmermann gets off the snide with 8 scoreless. Ryan Zimmerman off the DL, plays first game in OF, and knocks in run. Span scores three times, Rendon and Desmond homer. Phils rookie Buchanan with nightmarish start.

TOR 5 @ DET 3

Great pitcher’s duel with Anibal and Hutchinson. Nathan and Delabar spoil it with dumpster fire duel, although Albuquerque was real culprit for Tigers. Lawrie and J.D. Martinez hit 3-run homers.

SF 3 @ CIN 8

Homer wins, but it’s barely a quality start w/ 3 ER in 6 IP. Lincecum a prison movie. Pence has nice 3-hit game in loss. Mesoraco equals last season HR total (9) in less than 1/3 of the at bats.

SEA 7 @ ATL 5

The catchers brought the lumber tonight: Gattis 2-3 w/ 3-run HR, Buck 3-4 w/ game winning HR. Erasmo Ramirez poor in return to the majors (5 ER in 3 IP). Alex Wood struggling in relief gets loss.

TB 0 @ MIA 1

Henderson Alvarez with 3rd complete game shutout of the season? Of course! Archer pitches great in loss. Putrid offenses.

KC 8 @ STL 7

Royals take I-70 matchup by scoring in each of the last two innings, winning against flame thrower Rosenthal. Kotlen Wong w/ grand slam off Big Game James. Alex Gordon w/ 3-run homer. Wade Davis wins 5th, making good case as best set-up man in MLB.

BAL 8 @ TEX 3

Ubaldo and Saunders dodging trouble, Rangers bullpen blowing it. Adam Jones with 4-hit game, including HR. Nelson Cruz hits 21st HR. Beltre w/ 3-hits in loss.

NYM 1 @ CHC 2

Cubs bullpen throws 4.1 scoreless to preserve win after Arrieta leaves early. Zack Wheeler throws 6.2 scoreless in no-decision. Offenses bad, but Schierholtz and Granderson have 3-hit games.

LAA 2 @ HOU 7

Jon Singleton hits HR in first MLB game. Josh Hamilton hits HR in return from DL. McHugh continues improbable run with win and 5 scoreless innings. Astros en fuego lately.

MIN 6 @ MIL 4

Gallardo continues typical swoon after a great start to season, devastating those who thought he’d “figured something out.” His ERA is over 4.00 now. Dozier 3-3 w/ HR, Willingham with 3-run HR. Braun with two RBI in loss.

ARI 4 @ COL 2

Rookie Chase Anderson improves to 4-0 with 6 1-run innings. Chris Owings 3-4 falling short of a cycle by just a single. Tulo 2-4 with a homer.

OAK 5 @ NYY 2 (10)

Adam Warren has been great in set-up but implodes giving up 3 runs in 10th. Kazmire fantastic with 10 K in no-decision. Moss continues great season w/ 2 solo shots. Tex homers for Yanks.

CWS 4 @ LAD 1

Jose Abreu homers in 2nd straight game since coming of DL. Noesi with nice start, but still walks 4. Sox pen with 3 scoreless to ice win. Haren not sharp, although Abreu HR only real damage.

PIT 4 @ SD 1

Two very different MLB debuts for Padres: Jesse Hahn roughed up in first start, Jason Lane fairs well in first game as a pitcher at age 37 after over 1200 at bats as OF/1B. Gerrit Cole good but not as dominant as we…or at least I would like. Did you know Neil Walker has 11 HR already?
