DET 10 @ CLE 11 (13 innings)

I cheated and found that the game had a bunch of clutch hits and ended on a bases loaded balk.  Go Tribe!  Zach McAllister is officially a dumpster fire. Josh Tomlin truly earns the win with 6 Ks in 3 IP to finish the game.  Brantley with 4 hits, Murphy with 4 RBI. Rare occasion: Scherzer takes the gas pipe (7 ER).

SEA 3 @ TEX 4

Chris Young, the pitcher, starting to turn into a pumpkin.  Choo homers, doing something for the first time in a while.  Cano with HR #2…nearly two months into the season.  Doubt he’ll get to 30.  And, who does #2 work for?

NYY 4 @ CHC 2 (13 innings)

Takes 13 for the Yanks to vanquish the vaunted Cubs.  Pretty Princess Samardzija with another great no decision outing (0 ER in 7 IP).  Rizzo with 3 walks.  Yanks get nice outing from spot starter Whitley (0 ER in 4+).

CIN 2 @ WSH 1

Who’s going to be pushed out of the Reds rotations when Latos returns?  Hint: not Alfredo Simon.  Guy continues dealing w/ 7 strong in under 100 pitches.  Roark loses on unearned run, but peripherals bad (9 H+BB, 2K).  Three hits for Cozart?

BAL 8 @ PIT 9

Good news, Rats win, bad news, Ryan Webb gets the loss, and I have him in an AL Scoresheet league.  MVP Cutch, Marte and Ike Davis each with 3 hits and 5 RBI combined.  Each starter couldn’t get through 2 innings, for shame Wandy and Tillman!

LAD 4 @ NYM 3

Ryu with an excellent return (9 Ks in 6 IP).  Puig, A-Gon, and Hanley with solo HR.  Mets Wright, Lagares, and Flores with 3 hits apiece.  Rookie DeGrom not terrible other than the 3 HR.  Interesting target for Fantasy.

MIL 6 @ ATL 1

Most frustrating player to own in fantasy?  Justin Upton.  Suck for a couple weeks, get ouchy, and then blow up when I bench you.  Three more hits tonight…HATE.  And love.  Ervin Santana coming back to reality (6 ER in 7 IP).  Kyle Lohse…the Cockroach…with an incredible start (8 K, no walks, 8 IP, 103 pitches).

OAK 3 @ TB 2

Something had to break: Tommy Milone being gasoline on the road vs Rays being horrible against lefties.  Milone won.  Bedard let down by the D.  Wil Myers leading off?  Is this new?

PHI  5 @ MIA 14

Huh…the Marlins score a bunch of runs at home?  Never!  Marcell Ozuna with 5 RBI and a Grand Slam, Yelich with 3 hits and 2 RBI, Dietrich with 3 runs scored.  My boy Nate Eovaldi with a quality start, although scattering 10 hits is worrisome.  Kyle Kendrick is a turd (6 ER in 5.2 IP), but Manship (great name) and some other dude gave up 4 ER each.

TOR 6 @ BOS 4

Blue Jays = en fuego.  Drew Hutchinson has efficiency issues, but has stuff, too.  Buchholz is really struggling.  E5 with another 2 HR and 3 RBI…that’s 4 HR in two games.  Esmil Rogers tries to blow it.

CWS 1 @ KC 3

Guthrie puts some whipped cream on a shitty start to the season.  Wade Davis thriving in the pen (1.77 ERA).  Quintana was rolling but Petricka blows it letting inherited runners score.  Nothing to speak of offensively.

ARI 2 @ STL 3 (12 innings)

Carlos Martinez blows lead in 8th and it takes 4 more for the Cards to nail it down.  Cahill is not good, but D let him down in the 12th.  Starters both with quality starts and no decisions.  Craig and Adams with 3 hits each for Cards. I cheated and read Wacha was hit by a batted ball while in the dugout and may be headed to the DL. Can’t get that from the box score unfortunately, but very important info.

SF 5 @ COL 1

Matt Cain goes 3 scoreless and then pulled…must be an injury.  He tweaked his hammy and is likely DL bound.  Giants pen goes 6 IP with just 1 ER afterward.  Pence and Crawford homer.  CarGo left early as well, and that turns out to be an inflamed finger.  Never seen a position player have so much trouble with fingers.

MIN 2 @ SD 0

Phil Hughes put up 7 shutout innings with 7 Ks, but don’t get excited about it fantasy owners…it came against the Padres.  Yes, Seth Smith stayed white hot with 3 hits.  Tyson Ross pitched well (7 IP, 1 ER, 8 K) in the loss.  More offensive futility than great pitching in this one.

HOU 1 @ LAA 2

Jared Weaver’s diminished velocity didn’t affect him this game, but it was against the Astros AAA quality offense.  Collin McHugh continues his improbable breakout with 7 IP, 2 ER, 7 K.  Pujols launches 13th HR.  Springer hit 4th HR, but apparently strained his hip flexor in last at bat.
