In last week’s divisional round picks I went 2-2 bringing my season total to 137-121-3. Let’s see if I can get off of the .500 streak this week. The Patriots are going to Denver to face the Broncos and the Cardinals are playing the Panthers in Carolina. There has been a lot of talk about the teams traveling across the country to play but I don’t think it will be much of a factor. All four teams are very good and these games will be very close. The spreads are both set at 3.5 which makes the picks this week even more difficult.
The Cardinals and Panthers both have crazy good offense and defense. This game seems like it will come down to the last possession. I’m sticking with Cam Newton and the Panthers in this game. It’s too close to call but with the Panthers at home and the weather being a factor I think Carolina pulls this one out 31 – 24.
Everyone is making a big deal abut Tom Brady and Peyton Manning again. There are other people playing this week, in case you didn’t know. Denver has the better defense in this game and the Patriots have the better offense. I will always side with the team that has the better defense during the playoffs. The only question I have is if the Broncos have enough offense to score against the Patriots defense. I think this will be a low scoring game with the Broncos winning 17-14.
Before we move on, these picks are for fun. Don’t bet your life savings and then get pissed that some person you don’t know lost all of your money. Be accountable for your actions and if you have a gambling problem, it’s your problem. ALRIGHTY, let’s get to the picks!
