To start the playoffs this season I went 2-2 against the spread. It’s not bad, but it’s not good either. In the two games I lost I accounted too much for the weather. I guess even teams like New Orleans can play in an indoor fun house and then go on the road in the cold and snow to pull off a win. San Francisco was a big surprise to me and the fact that the Colts pulled off that comeback is amazing.
Going into this week’s games, one thing is for sure, if Andrew Luck puts the Colts in the same position against the Patriots there is no coming back. At least the Colts punter learned not to take pictures in the locker room and post them to Twitter…all the ladies almost got to see a dong shot of Mr. Kermit the Quarterback this past weekend.
As I look at the spreads of these games I can also say that I can’t remember a time when the spreads were this high for so many playoff games. I think we’ll be surprised at how close some of these games will be. We’ll also get to see if Peyton Manning can shake off the stigma of not being able to play in cold weather too. I think he’ll overcome that but the Broncos have too many injuries to actually cover this spread.
On to the picks!
