Well, I’m glad the regular season is over as far as my picks are concerned. Week 17 wasn’t great. The last week of the regular season is typically not great due to teams sitting starters, weather and complete collapses from unsuspecting teams. The Dolphins were one of those teams. They sat in the driver’s seat as they headed into the final two weeks of the season. They also completely fell apart and failed to make the playoffs again.

The beauty about the playoffs is that most of the teams that make it deserve to be there. There are great matchups to start the Wild Card weekend. We’ll see if New Orleans can leave the dome and actually beat a team in bad weather in the playoffs. Philly surprised me with Chip Kelly’s Oopty Oop offense…it would make Johnny Moxon proud. They’re in the playoffs coming out of the worst division in the NFL and they draw the best matchup possible.

The 49ers have to travel to Green Bay and play a Packers team that has Aaron Rodgers back after missing seven weeks with a broken collar bone. Green Bay always plays well at home but they might not be playoff ready. For them to win they need to get Eddie Lacy the ball early and often.

The Chiefs/Colts game might be the worst game of this weekend. The Chiefs need to prove that they can win a game against a team with a winning record. They’ll beat the Colts this weekend because Andrew Luck has no wide receivers and their running game, as always, is shaky at best.

WILD CARD PICKSLet’s get to my picks against the spread!
